InteropEHRate presented ‘Data in people’s hands’ and International Patient Summary (IPS) in clinical use at the EHTEL 2019 Symposium

On December 4th, 2019, InteropEHRate will participate in the session “Meaningful Data Sharing and Advancing for Interoperable Health Records” at the EHTEL 2019 Symposium in Barcelona.

Organised by EHTEL, the European eHealth Multidisciplinary Stakeholder Platform, and hosted by TicSalutSocial, the governmental Health IT organisation of Catalan health and social care, the Symposium will convene digital experts from everywhere in Europe and from every stakeholder group involved in digital transformation.

Inspired by the Electronic Health Record exchange Format (EHRxF) recommendation COM(2019)800, the session on “Meaningful Data Sharing and Advancing for Interoperable Health Records” aims to present and connect the different Member States and European Commission initiatives to expand health information exchange in Europe.

On behalf of Engineering, InteropEHRate project leader, Francesco Torelli will present the InteropEHRate approach supporting EHR Exchange through ‘Data in People’s Hands’. Stefano Dalmiani from the Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio, Medical Research Foundation and partner of InteropEHRate, will expand on the lessons learned in the clinical use of the International Patient Summary (IPS).

The session will also count with the participation of Costica Dumbrava from DG CNECT European Commission to provide a European perspective of EHR exchange format and Alfonso Duarte from UNINOVA and coordinator of Smart4Health who will present the citizen-centred EU-EHR exchange for personalised health.
